Wednesday 28th April - Official Club Forums Live The official club forums went live last week. You will need to register for them, which will only take 5 minutes. There are several forums set up at the moment, if you feel the need for any more, please feel free to make a suggestion. Tuesday 16th March - WINTER NETS SUSPENDED An unknown problem at the Ridings Sports Centre has forced its closure. At this stage it is unknown how long that centre will remain shut or how long the nets will be suspended. Further announcements will be made as the situation develops. Thursday 18th February - 2010 Fixtures Published The first team’s season kicks off with a visit to Clayton for the first time on April 26th in their first game in the Roy Smith section of the Halifax Cricket League with the second team hosting Sowerby St Peters. The third team start their 2010 campaign with a Rod Warhurst Cup match against Sowerby St Peters on Sunday 27th April. The first and second teams will play Bradshaw in the Parish Cup and Crossley Shield competitions with the second team hosting Bradshaw on Sunday 9th May. Wednesday 17th February - 2010 Captains Elected The second and third team captains for the 2010 season have been elected. Dean Crossley will resume as first team captain in 2010, his appointment being confirmed in December 2009. Although the first team was relegated last year it was felt that Dean was the right man to lead them back to the Premier division. The second team will be captained by Dave Jowett who was vice captain between 2003 until 2006, spending much of the 2005 and 2006 seasons captaining the side. Neil Eastwood continues as third team captain following on from last season. Neil proved to be an excellent captain under difficult circumstances in 2009 but the club is confident that he will lead the third team to success in 2010. The club would like to wish all captains success for the forthcoming season.  |
